Why you should go: Take part in the Hunter Valley’s largest Easter Egg Hunt at Hunter Valley Gardens during the Easter Long Weekend. Children can enjoy a special Easter Egg Hunt on Friday 7, Saturday 8 & Sunday 9 April. Easter Egg Hunt tickets are $2 and can only be booked online after purchasing Mega Creatures tickets. Numbers are strictly limited and session times for Easter Egg Hunts are non-transferable. Upon completing the hunt, each child will receive 1 Easter chocolate. Special 10am hunt for children 6yrs and under.

In addition to the hunt, there’s tons of activities for kids to enjoy over the long weekend including animatronic Mega Creatures which is on during the school holidays and the rides of Hunter Valley Gardens to enjoy.

Why you should go: The eggs are missing and Farmer Bunny needs your help. Answer the riddles, feed the farm animals and solve the mystery to collect your award. Fun for the whole family. Take a walk around The Farm at your own pace! Collect a farm map and bucket of food for the animals at the starting point ( next to the Pony Barn) and make your way around to feed the animals. This is a great way for kids to get up close and personal with the barn yard crew. Easter Fun Day at Hunter Wetlands Centre

The art activities will take approximately half an hour to complete.

Snitch’s Easter Egg Hunt at Maitland Gaol

Why you should go: At Snitch’s Easter Egg Hunt, children will explore the Maitland Gaol site looking for coloured Easter eggs. Once you’ve completed the code word puzzle, return your map to receive a chocolate easter surprise. Once you’ve completed the hunt, feel free to download the Maitland Gaol app and stay onsite to complete the Snitch’s Gaol Exploration, a fun self guided audio tour designed for children.
