Warm up this winter at Maitland Aroma Coffee and Chocolate Festival on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 August 2023. This is one of the best local winter festivals featuring all things coffee and chocolate.
Maitland Aroma features expert chocolatiers, talented baristas and the best of the region’s winemakers and it is the perfect way to ward off the winter chill.
The event is held in Maitland Riverside Car Park and The Levee Shared Zone in Central Maitland and showcases some of the most indulgent products from across the entire Hunter Region and beyond. It’s sure to keep you warm.
The events program will feature a variety of demonstrations to suit everyone’s taste buds, some of the region’s most delicious sweet treats and gourmet food and artisan market stalls.
This year, Maitland Aroma is excited to announce Reece Hignell, better known as Cakeboi, as this year’s special guest. You’ll find Reece hosting local businesses at the Flavour Stage across the weekend. Stop by the stage to learn all about crafting the perfect coffee at home, different coffee flavours from around the world, cake decorating and more.
In addition to the food and drink, there will be live entertainment, a Babyccino Kids Zone and more.

Kids Colouring In
Local community group Girl Guides will facilitate the coffee and chocolate themed art activities on the day. Visit to learn how to paint with coffee and use your imagination to create your own market stall or coffee shop!
Babyccino Kids Zone
The whole family can let their creative flare shine with a range of activities for everyone when visiting Maitland Aroma. The Babyccinos kids zone will be sure to provide loads of interaction and hours of play fun!
The live music program at Maitland Aroma hosts some of the region’s greatest up and coming independent songwriters across three locations throughout The Riverside Car Park. Grab a seat and enjoy your coffee while listening to some amazing local talent.
