The Big Draw: Lake Mac Drawing Festival

| |

You and your kids can express yourself at the 2022 The Big Draw Lake Mac Drawing Festival in October.

The Big Draw Festival is a worldwide celebration of drawing! The Big Draw promotes the universal language of drawing as a tool for learning, expression, and invention.

The 2022 Big Draw Festival theme, Come Back To Colour, is a love letter to each other and the world around us. The world has changed over the last two years and there is no going back to ‘normal’.

The Big Draw theme encapsulates the hope of rediscovery, vitality, health, care, and vibrancy. The hope of capturing, celebrating, and finding joy within the beautiful and wondrous things that remain in everyone’s lives after what has been a challenging few years.

The festival will feature all-ages events, including artist lead adult drawing workshops and family-friendly drawing programs at the Multi-Arts Pavilion, Museum of Art and Culture, the Wangi Creative Hub, and on the Lake’s edge at Warners Bay Foreshore.

The benefits of drawing are endless. Sketching helps develop different areas of the brain, lets you express yourself as well as helping develop hand-eye coordination. Join in the fun in October to develop your skills in a fun and supportive environment.

There are a number of activities in the lead up to The Big Draw but the main event is the Art Walk Warners Bay to Speers Point Park on Saturday 15 October 2022.
