Head to Sydney for some spooky Halloween events in 2022. There’s lots of fun events to enjoy with your family including Halloween events at Luna Park. Keep checking back as we’ll be adding lots of Halloween fun for kids, families and teens as we get closer to Fright Night.

Luna Park Halloween

You can celebrate Halloween during the school holidays and every weeked of October in the lead up to Halloween. Luna Park are stirring their cauldron and casting a spell across the Luna Park Sydney to bring you even more fun with all of our Halloween entertainment offerings perfect for the whole family.  Every day of the school holidays (plus more!) when you come to Luna Park you can watch spooky performances, special character meet and greets plus on select dates the festivities continue into the evening. These include a Halloween Dance Party, ZomBeats and Trick or Treat Trail.

Luna Park Halloscream

Get your scare on at Luna Park this Halloween. Halloscream, Sydney’s scariest Halloween event at Luna Park is celebrating 10 years with 3 horror mazes, an immersive Horror Themed Interactive Attraction and unlimited rides all night. 

Be prepared to be freaked out by horrifying scenes and creatures. For the first time ever, Luna Park Sydney is transforming the iconic Coney Island into a horror themed interactive attraction. Classic horror villains have been unleashed into Coney Island after decades of being trapped in their film canisters and they are running amok inside!

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium

Dive into the spooky SEAson at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, where you can forget the tricks because it’s all about the treats this Halloween! With spooktacular activities along the way, there’s plenty of spine-tingling fun for the whole family. Bare Your Bones at Sydney Opera House

Get spooky and creative at the Sydney Opera House to celebrate Halloween in our Centre for Creativity on Sunday 23 October! Children will create a fluro, wearable and movable skeleton arm or leg out of cardboard and glow-in-the-dark paint pens. After making your bones, participants will play a “thrilling” game of Musical Zombies. Learn the proper names for dem bones as well as how to shake, rattle, and roll them. A trick and treat for the eyes that will spook friends and family for Halloween!

Age: Kids aged 7 – 11 and their families

Spooky Spotlight at Centennial Parklands

Join in this Halloween for a ghoulish, spooky and ghostly spotlight in search of our nocturnal friends at Centennial Park. Dress up as your favourite Halloween character for a ghostly spotlight! 

Watch the spectacular fly out of our favourite bats and flying foxes that turn the sky dark and set the mood for a spooky spotlight prowl. The park is home to a variety of nocturnal critters, from the cute faces of brushtail possums to the statue-like features of the tawny frogmouths and Sydney’s largest colony of grey-headed flying foxes.

Please note: This is an educational activity where you learn about the animals of the park, and witness the transformation of Centennial Park as the sun goes down. It does not include ghosts, only spiders and bats! This is a program for families. Children aged 5+ are welcome, but must be supervised by an adult.

Kids Ghost Hunt – Parramatta Gaol

This ghost tour of the spooky Parramatta Gaol is designed for children aged between 8 – 14 years and their accompanying adults. The tour runs for an hour, through some of the most haunted wings of Old Parramatta Gaol, including the morgue, 4 wing, 5 wing, 6 wing and the torture cells. The kids also get to become paranormal investigators for the night, conducting vigils and using equipment. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Spooktacular Penrith

Join the Family Spooktacular for Halloween and what better way to enjoy the occasion then by dressing the family up and enjoying a night of fun and frights. There will be a kids disco, rides, food trucks, stalls and more. All-inclusive tickets include a kids activity trail where they complete an activity book and then get to trick or treat our characters to claim their prizes. Prizes for dances, costumes and even best pumpkin. Grab your tickets now participation is limited.

Lithgow Halloween

Lithgow Halloween returns to Main Street! This year’s theme is ‘Lithgow Halloween on Main Street’ and all the great elements of the past years will return with Live Music, Street Parade, Market Stalls and Amusement rides. The popular Best Dressed Competition and the Lithgow Halloween Smartphone Film Competition will return with great prizes to be won.

There will be street entertainment including two live music stages, dancing and theatrical performances from late afternoon and into the evening. Local dance groups and performers are invited to participate in the event to showcase their talents and to provide a broad range of entertainment.
