Join City of Newcastle for a spectacular return of New Year’s Eve celebrations to the Foreshore and cap off 2022 with a dazzling 9pm fireworks and airshow display over the iconic harbour!

This year, the Queens Wharf precinct will be transformed into an inclusive and interactive multi-sensory journey along the foreshore.

There’s something for the whole family to enjoy with rides, amusements and workshops for all ages and abilities.

The crescendo of the evening is a combined air show and fireworks display. The main event of this year’s celebrations will feature three jaw-dropping aerobatic flyovers (commencing at approximately 6.30pm) courtesy of Paul Bennet Airshows and their fleet of aerobatic and war planes.

A fantastic finale will see a fourth flyover, just before last light, with a colourful pyrotechnics display launching from the plane. Fireworks fans will also be able to enjoy the traditional display that illuminates Newcastle Harbour from 9pm.
