Have Fun at the Playground at Novocastrian Park in New Lambton

Novocastrian Park a great spot for play. This wooden playground isn’t massive but has enough equipment to keep the under 6s set happy.

Refurbished in early 2021, it’s an age-appropriate neighbourhood playground with low steps so kids can easily climb on to the play equipment.

The centerpiece is a wooden fort design that leads to a spiral slide.

There are also two smaller slides perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.

If kids like to climb, get them on the spiderweb and rope climbing wall.

They can even climb along the top or scramble up the small rock climbing wall.

There is a regular and baby swing as well as a group swing so kids can pile in and swing together.

There is a small roundabout and a small see saw. Let your kids practice their balancing skills with log balancing beams and blocks.

The puzzle blocks are great for little ones to solve.

For flooring, it’s a combination of softfall paths and bark chips.  Parents can sit around the playground on benches and sandstone blocks.

Adjacent to the playground is a half-basketball court. It’s a great spot for practicing your basketball or netball shots. The netball ring is behind the basketball hoop facing the other way,

If the kids need to run, take them on the fields behind the playground. These fields are used for cricket and soccer and there’s plenty of grass for tips, kicking a ball or running races.

If you need coffee or snacks, Euro Patisserie at Orchardtown Shops is nearby or pop into the Blackbutt Hotel for a feed.
