Ambleside Park in Lakelands: A Small but Fun Playground

| |

Lake Macquarie is dotted with neighbourhood playgrounds and this one in Ambleside Park in Lakelands is a cute one.

New play equipment was installed by Lake Macquarie City Council in early 2021 so it’s relatively new. It’s not a large playground but it’s great as a neighbourhood playground.

It features a large play structure with a climbing wall, climbing nets, spiderweb net, fireman’s pole, and dual slides.

Just note that as you can see from the above photo, this play equipment is close to the road (Ambleside Circuit) so keep an eye on kids.

At the rear of the playground, you’ll find swings (nest swing, regular swing and toddler swing) as well as a digger, see-saw and spinner.

Sandstone blocks surround the playground which doubles as parent seating but note that there’s not much shade at this playground. As you can see from the photos, the playground is installed with wood chip and rubber matting.
