Henderson Park is a little neighbourhood park in Adamstown and is perfect for those with young kids. It features play equipment catering to little ones.
It’s a lovely quiet suburban spot in Adamstown with shade and plenty of grass for kids to run around. There are even some currawongs singing in the background.
The playground isn’t large and suits toddlers and preschoolers.
It’s a cute little playground with a climbing structure complete with slides and a little shop, swings, wobblies and even a sandpit with a mechanical digger!
Check out the disused water fountain with built in benches. Kids will love climbing all over it.
Henderson Park also has a community hall which can be rented through City of Newcastle for children’s birthday parties, etc for a low fee per hour. As expected, it’s very popular so book ahead.
Nearby, you’ll find Bootleg Bakery at 10 James Street. It’s open on Friday and Saturday only from 8am to 12pm. EFTPOS only.
