In terms of family fruit picking close to Newcastle, some farms are closer than others while some destinations require a weekend away. Things to Know Before You Go

Before you set out for fruit picking, always confirm that they are open for picking. Check their website or social media or even give them a call to make sure they’re open, haven’t run out of fruit, etc. Check also to see what you need to bring. Some farms only accept cash or require you to bring your own bags or might require a reservation.
