There’s a new playground at Arcadia Vale and it is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.
Newly opened by Lake Macquarie City Council, this nice and open playground at Arcadia Vale Reserve has water views and brand-new play equipment and plants.
The easy climb low level slide and soft fall flooring allows toddlers to explore with ease.
There is a swing, baby swing and group circular swing.
There is a spinning roundabout, a see-saw for tiny tots, and fun music station.
It is a breath of fresh air and very popular with kids under 5 years old.
The playground itself has no fences (so keep an eye on your little ones) but it is hugged by a wide path that can be used for prams, scooters, roller skates or wheelchairs. The path also leads from the carpark up to the toilets.
There are two beautiful yarning circles at the edges of the playground and plenty of sandstone slabs and seats to sit on to watch your toddler play.
There is ample shaded grassland for running around, throwing a frisbee or kicking a ball.
A short stroll from the playground takes you to the public jetty, where swimming is a popular pastime when the weather is warmer. It looks netted but upon closer inspection, it is not.
There are two ladders for easy access out of the lake and an outdoor shower on the shore.
There is a covered BBQ and outdoor tables as well as plenty of grassed areas for a picnic.
Good to know
Pleas note, this is a not a dog friendly park, there are no dogs withing 10m of the playground.
