Apply for $100 First Lap Voucher for Swimming Lessons for Kids Aged 3 – 6

| |

Parents of young kids can now benefit from a swimming voucher. In their 2021 budget, the NSW government announced that parents across NSW will be able to apply for $100 vouchers to pay for learn to swim lessons for kids aged 3 – 6.

The First Lap voucher program provides $100 vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of children aged 3-6 years who are not enrolled in school to contribute towards the cost of swimming lessons.

The First Lap voucher program provides one $100 voucher each financial year to parents, guardians and carers of children aged 3-6 years to contribute to the cost of learn to swim classes.

The voucher may be used for an eligible child’s participation in a structured swimming lesson program with an approved First Lap provider.  You can apply for the First Lap voucher through Service NSW similar to Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers.

Vouchers are valid for redemption during the financial year of issue. The First Lap program will run from 1 December 2021 to 30 June 2023.

The voucher:

  • can be used for a program of at least 5 structured and supervised swimming lessons, which are either intensive (daily) or regular weekly lessons
  • can be used at any participating business that is an approved First Lap provider
  • is valid until 30 June 2023.

We’ve put together a list of swim schools in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter region.
